My story idea is about how big is chance in Georgia for a teenagre to go to the shop and buy a cigarette. There are stickers on some of the supermarkets and shops which say that they won’t sell cigarettes and alcohol to the children under 18.
It is interesting to find out if they really check the age of buyers when they buy ex: beer or a cigarette. I also want to know how tough our legislation is towards this issue and what the punishment is going to be for those shops which don’t obey the law, directive or whatever.
In my opinion it would also be interesting to have the comments of the teenagers about this issue, doctors and lawmakers.
sofi, i was 17 when i started smoking and when i wasnt allowed to get one box of cig.s i used to say: "oh, thats fine ma'am. then my dad will have to come down to buy on his own. thank you". after that i always got whatever i wanted, they thought i was veeery polite, gentle girl, who cares about her daddy, whos lazy to come to shop. so, i was kinda blowing their minds with "ma'am", "thank you"... so, guess nobody really cares about age, if government doesnt controll them and they let themselves and even US to be tricked
ReplyDeletep.s. i dont agree that rule, if my kid would love to smoke, s/he gets it anywhere despite any rules
